The policy of types of articles that can be published
Based on the latest regulation of scientific publications of the Ministry of Science, approved on 02.09.2018, instead of applying the accreditation of "scientific-research" and "scientific-promotional" to scientific journals that were previously used, all publications approved by the Ministry of Science are known as valid scientific journals. . Based on the criteria defined in the aforementioned regulations, scientific publications can publish one or several types of scientific articles according to their goals and subject areas. The type of article that can be published should be specified based on the policies of the publication and should be included on the first page of each published article. For this reason, with the approval of the editorial board, Farhang Yazd magazine is ready to accept four types of articles including: 1) research articles, 2) review articles, 3) viewpoint (or point of view), 4) technical articles for review and publication.
Farhang Yazd magazine does not accept any of the above articles that have been published before or are under consideration for publication elsewhere, and authors should seriously refrain from sending such articles to the magazine, respecting the publishing ethics. Details and conditions related to each of the types of articles that can be published will follow. Authors of articles, when submitting an article to the journal, it is necessary to suggest the type of article (based on the study of the conditions mentioned for the types of articles that can be printed in the journal). The final summary regarding the type of article accepted for publication by the journal will be made by checking the compliance of the article with the specified conditions for each type of acceptable article. The details of the types of articles that can be reviewed and published are as follows:
Research articles: original research writings (with a maximum volume of 8,500 words for quantitative articles and 10,000 words for qualitative articles) that present the results of an original research. The components of this type of article are: abstract, keywords, introduction and problem statement, research background, theoretical framework, method and data, findings, discussion and conclusion, sources, English abstract.
Review articles: in terms of writing components, they should be the same as original research articles. The volume of this type of articles should be a maximum of 7000 words and there are two types: a) Systematic review: studies that are conducted in the form of meta-analysis, meta-composition, systematic review, domain (area) review and the like are included in this category. b) Non-systematic review, or narrative review (narrative): These types of writings include a critical evaluation of existing knowledge in a specialized field or a review of the history and process of development and formation of knowledge in a specialized field.
Point of view or point of view: these types of articles do not need to follow the structure of original research articles and can be topics such as: 1) criticism of previous researches, 2) book review or review, 3) theoretical analysis of one of the important dimensions or areas of social culture of Yazd, or Analysis of new and emerging issues 4) expansion and explanation about an idea or a problem, 5) political challenges or solutions in the field of Yazd culture. In addition to the fact that authors can send articles of this type to the journal, in some cases, the point of view or point of view can be written by the editor or members of the group of editors (editorial board) or upon the editor's invitation from an expert. Such writings should be prepared between 1500 and maximum 4000 words and have sources.
Technical articles or technical notes: these types of articles do not need to follow the structure of original research articles, and in terms of writing style, they should be written in the style of news-analytical report and suitable for a diverse range of audiences. The main purpose of a technical note is to provide readers with relevant and timely information. This type of writing should have sources and references, but the number of sources used in it should be small. The journal reserves the right to edit these types of accepted articles to correct and adjust the article if necessary. The number of words of technical note should be between 1500 and maximum 4000 words. The technical note can be dedicated to a range of topics, such as: 1- Provide a summary of important scientific events in the field of Yazd culture, such as conferences, workshops, etc. (provided that no more than three months have passed since then) . 2- Propose or develop a new idea, theoretical point of view, new technique or new research program.
