Transition of Population age structure and aging affects the socio-economic, political, health and medical conditions of society. The purpose of this article is to identify the demographic characteristics of Yazd province from the past to the present and estimates their future changes. The data is based on the results of the census and annual registration of vital events in the Civil Registration Organization Spectrum and software has been used to predict population. The research findings show that Yazd province is currently favorable in terms of number, growth rate and age structure. Fertility is balanced and population policy goals are met. The main policy should be to take advantage of the current population window opportunity and to provide the appropriate economic and social context to cope with the growing elderly population. The future demographic challenges of Yazd province depend on how to take advantage of the demographic window opportunity. Taking advantage of the demographic window opportunity and turning it into an economic and social opportunity requires empowering and empowering young people for economic development, expanding job opportunities, favorable investment, improving the quality of human capital and providing opportunities for women to participate in the labor market جمعیّت­ها به لحاظ حجم، ترکیب و توزیع سنی در حال تغییر هستند. گذار ساختار سنی و سالخوردگی جمعیت تأثیر عمیقی بر شرایط اقتصادی اجتماعی جامعه خواهد گذاشت. هدف این مقاله شناخت مشخصه­های جمعیتی استان یزد و روند تحوّلات آن در سال­های اخیر و برآورد تحولات آن در آینده است. داده‌ها جمعیت از نتایج سرشماری و داده وقایع حیاتی از سازمان ثبت احوال گرفته شده و برای پیش‌بینی جمعیت از نرم‌افزار Spectrum استفاده شده است. یافته‌های تحقیق بیانگر این است که در حال حاضر استان یزد از نقطه نظر تعداد‏،‏ میزان رشد و ساختار سنی در وضع مطلوبی قرار دارد. باروری در استان متعادل شده و اهداف سیاست جمعیتی تأمین شده است. سیاست اصلی استان در این سال‌ها باید در جهت بهره‌مندی از فرصت پنجره جمعیتی و فراهم‌سازی بسترهای اقتصادی و اجتماعی برای مواجه ‌شدن با جمعیت رو به افزایش سالمند باشد. چالش­های جمعیتی آینده استان یزد، بستگی زیادی به نحوه بهره­برداری از فرصت پنجره جمعیتی دارد. بهره­برداری از فرصت پنجره جمعیتی و تبدیل آن به فرصت اقتصادی و اجتماعی مستلزم توانمندی و مقتدرسازی جوانان برای توسعه اقتصادی، گسترش فرصت‌‌های شغلی، سرمایه گذاری مطلوب، بهبود کیفیت سرمایه انسانی و فراهم کردن فرص­هایی برای حضور زنان در بازار کار است. https://fyazd.ricac.ac.ir/article_133754_d0505d156ac710a1c3da7cb40425139b.pdf
